Athletic Business' Architectural Showcase shines a spotlight on the state of the art in athletic, fitness and recreation facilities. Entered by architects and other design professionals, as well as by facility owners and operators, this annual showcase highlights the "best of the best" for new or recently renovated athletic, fitness and recreation facilities from around the world. Entry Fee: $900 for one-page | $1,200 for two-page spread

What's Eligible For Entry:
Any submitted athletic, fitness or recreation project completed between Jan. 1, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2017, will appear in the June 2018 Architectural Showcase issue of Athletic Business. Projects may be submitted by project architects, associated engineering and operational consultants and facility owners. Projects will not be accepted from manufacturers or equipment suppliers. Projects can be new construction, additions or renovations. Any number of projects can be entered, and all or any part of a facility may be entered. (For example, a new gymnasium or a new fitness center in a high school would qualify.)

- Completed Online Application Form
Once the form has been filled out online and electronically submitted, click "print your submission" and include it with your binder. - Site Plans/Floor Plans
Do not include blueprints or construction documents. Plans should be easily readable in standard 8.5x11 inch format so they fit into the judging binder. - Exterior and Interior Photographs
Quality prints on photographic paper are necessary for judging. Include 10 or more 8x10 inch prints. Photocopies will not be accepted. Do not submit renderings or photoshopped images. Photos can be uploaded at athleticbusiness.com/showcaseform or mailed, along with the entry binder, via CD or flash drive. Photographs should show each of the program areas within the facility, as well as unique features of the project. It is recommended that all building facades are pictured and that the facility be shown in context with its surroundings. If the project is a renovation, please include pre-renovation photos and floor plans.
